It will only take 3 minutes of your time, and is very helpful to the TCC Curling Committee!
Dave has been integral to the successful launch of the Curl Truro merchandise, as well as installing the graphics on the new front door.

Despite needing to reschedule this event at the last minute, the 3rd Annual RE/MAX® Fairlane Realty Home Opener was hosted at the Truro Curling Club on Saturday, January 20. The draw was full with members from across the Club, including Day Mens and Ladies leagues, Stick League, evening leagues and the Learn to Curl program. It was great to see our newer curlers getting to curl with more experienced members!
First Place: Alan Hunt (skip), Krista Parsons (third), John Fraser (second) and Darlene MacKay (lead).
Second Place: Gerald Post (skip), Greg Demchuck, Caitlyn Holt and Jillian MacPhee
Draw to the Button Winners: Carmen Neal (skip), Greg Knox, Thomas Wilson and Jim Byrne.
Thank you to all those who came out to participate in this fun event. Special thanks to RE/MAX® Fairlane Realty for sponsoring this event, and to Dave Williams for presenting awards and prizes. Their support allows us to buy some food and prizes which adds a fun and "friendly competition" component to this special Club event.

Following Curling Canada's lead, the Truro Curling Club will be adopting the World Curling Federation's No-Tick Shot rule for all events starting in the 2023-24 season.
The No-Tick Shot rule now being used for all Curling Canada events is as follows:
If, prior to the delivery of the sixth stone of an end, a delivered stone causes either directly or indirectly, an opposition stone in the Free Guard Zone (FGZ) which is touching the center line to be moved to an off-center line position or to a position outside the FGZ, the non-offending team has the option to:
(i) Remove the delivered stone from play, and replace all stones that were displaced to their positions prior to the violation taking place; or
(ii) Leave all stones where they came to rest.
If the stone is moved from the center line to an out-of-play position, then the FGZ rule applies.
This does not apply for Wheelchair Curling or for Mixed Doubles competitions.
** Registration Extended** to November 8th. Don't miss out on this great event for a great cause.

Not only was being part of such an important event in our Community rewarding in and of itself, the Club was recently one of 10 teams (of the 40 that participated) selected to win $500! Shown accepting the Cheque on behalf of Truro Curling Club is the Club's Volunteer Co-ordinator for this event, Nancy Smith, and Club President, Nevin Jackson.
