The Truro Curling Club hosted 18 of the top U20 men's and women's teams from Atlantic Canada this past weekend in the annual junior cashspiel.
On the women's side, Team Blades (Truro Curling Club) defeated Team Regan (Lakeshore Curling Club) 5-2 to win the final. On the men's side, Team MacIsaac (Truro Curling Club) defeated Team Atherton (Halifax Curling Club) 7-1 in the final.
A draw to the button challenge was introduced to the event this year. After 8 draws to the button, Team Pugsley (Curl Moncton) won the draw to the button challenge with a total of 123.75 inches for the women, while Team Atherton (Halifax Curling Club) won the challenge on the men's side with a total of 129.75 inches.
